Choose natural remedies for a fresh-looking complexion

If you are looking to obtain a radiant appearance, you can turn to grapes. All you have to do is cut grapes into halves and rub them on your face. It is a known fact that grapes are rich in acids, which have excellent exfoliating properties. Moreover, these small, delicious fruits, are rich in antioxidants, such as resveratrol, which can provide enhanced protection against the damage done by free radicals.

When you wake up tired and you cannot stand to look in the mirror, as your eyes are all puffy, there is something you might want to try. A simple trick is to apply cold eye cream, using your ring finger to gently dab it in the problem areas. This will restore your natural beauty, preventing you from having to walk all day looking tired. As for blemishes, you can fight these with tea tree oil, a natural remedy which is well-known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

A moisturized complexion is one that exudes natural beauty

Natural beauty is something that you have to constantly work for, always searching for solutions that will keep your complexion looking as perfect as it is possible. Keeping your skin moisturized is essential, as excess dryness will only make you look older than you really are. For the best results, it is recommended to apply the moisturizer in the morning, as part of your routine; you can also apply it at night, before going to bed and throughout the day, if you notice your skin has become dry all over again.

There are plenty of natural remedies you can turn to, in order to keep your skin hydrated. In fact, many of them can be found in your own kitchen. For example, you can use honey for such purposes, as it not only hydrates the skin but it also keeps infections of all sorts at a safe distance. Buttermilk is another great choice, as it hydrates and nourishes the skin at the same time; moreover, it can stimulate the cell turnover, contributing to the rejuvenation process. Olive oil remains one of the best natural moisturizers in the world, hydrating the skin to perfection. You can use essential oils for skin moisturizing as well, with lavender, orange and lemon being just of the many opportunities available.

Facial masks can help you keep your natural beauty for years to come

A facial mask is easy to prepare and can do wonders for a tired complexion. If you want to increase the efficiency of your masks, try applying them in the shower. The steam from the warm water will cause your pores to open and, thus, the ingredients will penetrate the skin more efficiently. You can use facial masks for a multitude of purposes, including hydrating and nourishing the skin, minimizing wrinkles and even correcting minor imperfections.

Bananas are excellent ingredients for facial masks, as they have intense moisturizing properties and the ability to soften the skin. You can mash several bananas into a pulp and apply the resulting paste on your face. Vinegar is another great ingredient, with amazing toning properties; for the best results, it is recommended to mix it with a little bit of water. Milk has been used since the ancient of times for beautiful skin, bringing freshness and rejuvenating an otherwise tired complexion. Oatmeal, yoghurt, lemons, eggs and avocados represent just other interesting choices you can consider when it comes to facial masks.

Not a day without protection against UV rays

The constant exposure to the sun remains one of the first reasons that contribute to the premature aging of the skin. For this reason, it is essential to educate yourself and wear sunscreen on a daily basis. If you spend too much time in the sun, without any means of protection, you will gradually lose your natural beauty and end up looking older than you really are. Not to mention, the prolonged exposure increases the risk for skin cancer, a dangerous condition.

If you are all about natural remedies, you should know that you can prepare an excellent sunscreen in the comfort of your own home. You can use ingredients such as almond oil, coconut oil, red raspberry seed oil, carrot seed oil and shea butter. In order to increase the level of protection, you can add zinc oxide; the more you add, the better you will be protected against UV rays. It is also essential to understand that sunscreen should be applied every day, whether it is sunny or cloudy, whether it is summer or winter. UV rays can penetrate through the clouds and cause a lot of damage, so make sure to reapply your sunscreen if need be.

Your hair needs to be part of the picture too

When thinking about your natural beauty routine, you have to take your hair into account as well. If you have noticed your hair has become dry and dull, opt for a hydrating mask. You might also want to pay attention to the cosmetic products you use on your hair; avoid those that contain harsh chemicals and preservatives, opting for those that contain as many natural remedies as it is possible.

Hydrating hair masks can be made using a wide range of ingredients, including extra-virgin olive oil, egg yolks, avocados and yoghurt. You can apply hair masks as frequently as you might want, especially if your hair is exposed to the sun, wind or other weather elements. If you spend a lot of time in the open outdoors, you might want to wear a hat; this will offer protection to your hair and complexion at the same time.

Wholesome diet & physical exercise

Natural beauty is strongly connected to your general well-being. If you are interested in natural ways to increase stamina, you should consider adding more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. You might also want to consume nuts and seeds, brown rice, honey, fatty fish, yogurt and eggs, as all of these foods can boost energy levels. A diet that is rich in processed and refined foods will wreak havoc on your complexion, while a sedentary lifestyle will cause you to age sooner than it is necessary. Lifestyle changes are necessary to turn back the hands of time and maintain a healthy, youthful-looking appearance.

If you feel good, you also look good. Given this important connection, you have to follow a wholesome diet and get plenty of exercise. As for physical exercise, you should choose a workout routine that suits your personal style; what matters is that you stay active, enjoying the physical activity.

Choose natural remedies to keep your skin looking young and healthy, drink plenty of water and stay active. Look good and feel good!

  1. Awesome information, Christy! LOVE this post!! I use all organic ingredients on skin and hair and take care of what I put in my mouth as well. I did not know Shea butter can be used for sunscreen, which I have in my home (organic) to use in my own body butters I make. I have some sunscreen which I did use (no longer) and actually as a result got sun poisoning. Just by applying my body butter every night I do not have a problem with sun poisoning or burning. Now I know why …. Shea Butter. Cool beans. I actually have facial masks that uses kale and bamboo and I LOVE the results. With the bamboo mask I have, I take a tiny amount and rub it in my facial cream to leave on all night. The results are phenomenal! THANK YOU for spreading the truth about skincare and hair care. 🌹
