Any health problem can be a struggle to deal with. Confronting an issue and seeing a doctor about it aren’t always easy things to do, but you usually do so eventually. However, some problems can be even harder to deal with when you feel shame talking about it or showing others. When you have embarrassing health problems, then you might spend a lot of time trying to hide it or to find solutions, and perhaps be reluctant to see someone about it. If you experience any of the five potentially awkward issues below, there might be simple solutions to address them.
5 embarrassing health problems:
1. Sweating too much
Sweating is a natural bodily function. It is designed to help keep the body cool.
However, sometimes you can feel like you’re sweating excessively. The moisture can leave stains on your clothes and perhaps cause an unpleasant body odor too.
If you sweat a lot, the first step is to try out a range of antiperspirants. Some of the more advanced products have a high level of active ingredients to help control sweating.

2. Bad breath or bad teeth
People’s teeth and the way their breath smells can become huge points of worry. If you have either of those concerns, anxious thoughts about whether your breath smells okay or how your teeth look when you talk or smile might be taking over your life.
It can knock your confidence if you feel like either one isn’t as healthy as you think it could be. Fortunately, there are plenty of oral hygiene products, from toothpaste to mouthwash, that can help improve these embarrassing health problems.

Acne is the most common type of skin disorder. It is estimated that up to 80% of the population will experience outbreaks of acne at some point in their lives.

- Wash your hair more often to help reduce the buildup of natural oils on the scalp
- Use a hot oil mask for the hair to remove oils sitting on the scalp
- Avoid scratching your head as it can open up wounds and only enhance the white stuff
Urinary incontinence is an issue a lot of women have to deal with, and it can be one of the most embarrassing health problems. Common causes include pregnancy, giving birth, or simply getting older.
Sometimes, the bladder concern will go away shortly after you have a baby. However, it can also be a long-term problem.
Talking to a doctor about it can be difficult to do, but it’s also very helpful. The professional will often recommend pelvic floor exercises to help strengthen the muscles that control your bladder. Book a consultation with a women’s urologist at Golden State Urology. Other treatments include absorbent pads or diapers, an indwelling catheter, and a bedpan.

Our bodies are incredible machines, but they don’t always work exactly how we hoped. Embarrassing health problems can be tempting to try not to think about as they make you uneasy but it’s worth sorting them out to improve your life quality.
If you have an embarrassing health-related condition, be brave and speak up about it. Seek help and remember that it’s highly likely that the doctor or dentist you see has seen many similar cases in their time. They are there to help you and make your symptoms better, so there’s absolutely no need to feel embarrassed or ashamed.

Great post. Thought I’d add that there are products like Driclor (I’ve used this before, bought from Amazon) that can help immensely with sweat where other products fail to work. They’re pricier but you don’t need much and eventually don’t need to use it every day either. x
