Weekly Inspiration Roundup Vol. 13

Lucky or unlucky #13? Given the cold that doesn’t seem to want to let go of this body of mine, I’d be compelled to say unlucky. But then again it has forced me to take time for myself, and that’s a blessing. It is a reminder that, yes, I need self-care. Hence this post being a day late!

Let’s enjoy the inspirational blog posts you’ve all written this week and rejoice in the good rather than dwelling on the bad. Turn off the news headlines for a few minutes and enjoy some uplifting reads with me.

Colline Brings Hope

In her blog post FMF Day 4: Hope, Colline discusses what hope means for us in today’s world. From healing the Earth to peace from war, there are so many things we hope for, explains Colline. What I enjoy is her astute realization that hope is not lost… And my hope is that we never lose it.

In the Here and Now with Jane

Jane Sturgeon talks about being in the here and now in her inspirational blog post. She explains that she chooses her light (figuratively and literally) – whether it be one that sparkles and is light or dark. Life is the same way, this blogger explains, and it is our choices that form the energy we feel and give to others.

Heart Health: Not Just a Man’s Disease

Love Your Heart Australia offers a powerful write with the blog post Not Just a Male’s Disease. While heart disease is often thought of specifically in terms of affecting men, it also is an illness that affects many women. While the statistics presented here are specific to Australia, women around the world would be wise to learn the message behind them. Let’s educate ourselves to help prevent heart attacks!

Prayers for Las Vegas

This week was rocked by the Las Vegas shootings. This poem for the tragedyΒ comes from blogger Christina of seaofwordsx. As she explains, the world needs love now more than ever. Reach out to those you care about and tell them you love them today, not tomorrow.

Michelle Obama Tribute

Mrs S. LDN has a great guest post from Janelle of The Nelly Bean. This ode to Michelle Obama highlights the fabulous former First Lady’s triumphs and strengths. She’s is very witty and inspires people worldwide.

Kindness with Sunshinysa

This blog post from Sunshinysa is all about kindness, which we can never have too much of. I like her discussion of random acts of kindness, the quotes she includes, and the overall uplifting message here. It’s a good note to end this roundup post on, don’t you think? β™₯

  1. Taking an oregano oil capsule every day will ward off colds (and sinus infections and allergies). Google “oregano oil benefits.” It may also help you kick this one. Feel better soon.

  2. Ugh! Christy it’s absolutely miserable to have a cold. I’m sorry you have to deal with that. Please do be good to you.
Even though you felt bad you still put together a lovely roundup and week.
I choose to think 13 is a lucky number.
Wishing you well. Hugs on the wing!
