Difference between surgical and nonsurgical rhinoplasty?

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty vs surgical

If you are looking for a change in appearance, you might seek out cosmetic treatments. The range of procedures available can profoundly impact one’s appearance, boosting self-esteem. Also, many cosmetic treatments are minimally invasive and require little downtime, so patients can quickly see results. The nose is a vital element of facial aesthetics and the topic of today’s post. Let’s talk about surgical versus nonsurgical rhinoplasty.

The nose has it

The nose shapes the entire face and can balance features. Unfortunately, many people are unhappy with their nose shape and size. Some people prefer more natural-looking results, while others may want something completely transformed.

Either way, only an expert eye knows where exactly tweaks should happen. Rhinoplasty can be an option for you if you are unhappy with the shape of your nose.

What is the difference between surgical and nonsurgical rhinoplasty?

There are two types of rhinoplasties: surgical and nonsurgical. Surgical rhinoplasty is the more traditional approach and involves making incisions to improve the overall appearance of your nose.

On the other hand, nonsurgical rhinoplasty uses injectable fillers to achieve similar results without the need for surgery. Let’s look at the major differences here between the two options.

Surgical rhinoplasty

Surgical rhinoplasty involves making incisions to the nose to change its shape. This can be done for cosmetic reasons, to correct a birth defect, or to improve breathing. The different types of incisions will depend on the extent of the surgery performed. Cartilage may also be removed or rearranged during surgery.

After making the incisions, the surgeon will sculpt the nose to the desired shape and size before closing the incisions with stitches. It’s crucial to note that surgical rhinoplasty is relatively invasive and requires some recovery time. However, the results are often very long-lasting.

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty

The non surgical nose job in Glasgow is becoming increasingly popular due to minimally invasive cosmetic procedures that can be used to correct a broad range of aesthetic concerns without the need for surgery. The most common indications for treatment are:

  • A bulbous or drooping nasal tip
  • A crooked nose
  • A nose that appears too large or wide for the face

During the procedure, dermal fillers are injected into specific nose areas to add volume and achieve the desired shape. Nonsurgical rhinoplasty is often chosen over surgery because it is less expensive and has a shorter recovery time.

Nonsurgical rhinoplasty results are not permanent and usually last between 6 and 12 months. However, some patients may experience longer-lasting results. In general, the results of nonsurgical rhinoplasty are not as dramatic as those achieved with surgery, but there is little recovery time associated with the procedure.

Which option is right for you?

Always keep in mind that your health and safety should always be the top priority when undergoing any beauty treatment. So, whatever treatment you decide on, make sure you choose a clinic that uses safe and effective methods.

First and foremost, it is important to do your research and consult with a professional. Doing so helps ensure that you get the best results you desire that are right for you if in case you’re considering changing your nose.

  1. When I was a surgical nurse many years ago, a patient was brought in whose adopted dog was startled when asleep. She had adopted him after he was retired from being experimented upon in the hospital setting. When she petted him, by impulse he bit and unfortunately bit off half of her nose. That was definitely a case for plastic surgery, and I was the scrub nurse assisting with that surgery. It is something I will never forget. She did not blame the dog, and we heard that she kept him.
