Trying to conceive in 2022

Congratulations to you and your partner on deciding to try for a baby! You may wonder how to maximize your chances of becoming pregnant. Some women may struggle with an underlying health condition, while others want to get pregnant as soon as possible. This helpful guide will share some top tips for couples seeking to conceive in 2022. From fertility tracking and conception supplements to kicking bad habits, the list below covers it all.

Monitor your periods

If you plan to get pregnant but are not tracking your periods yet, now is the time to start. It helps to take note of the days that your period begins and then count the days between your next period to identify whether you have a regular cycle or not. Doing so will allow you to determine your menstrual cycle lengths. With this information, you can then gain a clearer understanding of when ovulation occurs.

To help make the process easier, you can also use fertility tracking apps. Conduct a quick online search to help you find the best ones. Using fertility apps helps identify when your fertility window falls. That allows you to conceive on days when you are more likely to get pregnant – helping you to speed up the process.

Trying to conceive? Kick bad habits in 2022

It has been reported that women who smoke do not conceive as effectively as those who don’t. Smoking can affect fertility rates in men as well as women.

So, if you are a female who doesn’t smoke but your partner does, that could be the reason why you are struggling to get pregnant. Therefore, it is crucial that you both actively try to get rid of bad habits in your life.

There are plenty of smoking forums online that can offer you some excellent advice. It is also worth consulting with your doctor as they may be able to help you find alternative replacements for cigarettes such as nicotine patches and gum. Quitting a bad habit like smoking is challenging, but the life rewards of doing so are endless.

Take conception supplements

You may be intrigued to know that there is a range of conception supplements out there that can help aid fertility. There are plans available for both men and women that aim to support sperm and egg health while also supporting hormone balance.

Now, you can find these supplements at the click of a button, thanks to the internet. Take a look at Needed’s conception supplements as an excellent example. Their range of conception supplements for both men and women contain ingredients like Omega-3 and collagen protein, which supply optimal nutrition for couples trying to conceive in 2022.

Maintain a healthy weight

Maintaining a healthy weight is essential in increasing your chances of becoming pregnant. Being severely underweight or overweight can negatively affect a woman’s chances of conceiving. If a male suffers from obesity, the additional pounds can also affect sperm viability and concentration. Therefore, it is crucial that you both maintain a healthy weight.

To help you both stay on track with weight-related goals, try to exercise and eat balanced meals together. Supporting one another can often be the motivation you need to get fit and healthy.

If you don’t like going to the gym, look at some home workouts online to ease the stress of attending a gym. As for healthy food, there are many healthy recipes out there that you can explore together.

Minimize stress in 2022 when trying to conceive

If you have been trying to have a baby for a long time and are not yet pregnant, it can start to put a strain on your relationship. During times like these, it is important that you both do what you can to minimize feelings of stress.

Remind yourselves that conceiving is a process and remain hopeful that you will fall pregnant one day. Patience is key.

Stress can start to affect your sex life and can also add unnecessary pressure to your relationship. So, take time to support one another and engage in some destressing activities that help you both relax.

Look online for some well-needed inspiration, such as guided meditations. Or just take your mind off of having a family for a short time by watching a Netflix show together.

Seek medical advice

If you plan to conceive in 2022, it’s a good idea to book an appointment with your doctor to let them know. Your doctor can then run through any necessary tests to ensure that you are healthy enough to try for a baby.

For example, you could have a sexually transmitted infection (STI). If you conceive with an STI, the risk of having premature labor is higher than if you don’t have this type of infection.

The doctor may also recommend some fertility supplements. Among the most popular conception vitamins are Folic Acid, Fish Oil, and Vitamin D. Before taking any new supplements, get your doc’s approval.

Finally, your doctor will check your family’s medical history for any underlying health issues that could cause pregnancy complications. It will help to give your baby the best possible start in life. It will also help your doctor identify whether your baby is likely to suffer from a commonly recognized condition in your family medical history.

  1. Long ago, when I was a young wife, hubby and I planned to have our second child after our first born reaches two years old. We followed the rhythm method as a plan.

Unexpectedly, I didn’t conceive at once. We were so anxious that we can’t have another baby. Between us two, hubby has hypertension and inflamed heart. He has a lingering illness.

I can’t say that I was very healthy at the time because I wasn’t monitoring my health except during monthly pregnancy check ups.

After several months attempting to get pregnant, I conceived a baby boy.

This is a very good post. I appreciate this list especially for young mothers.
