Oprah Winfrey became a household name with her talk show that ran for an incredible 25 years. She has won 18 Daytime Emmy Awards.
That’s far from all. Oprah holds honorary degrees from both Duke and Harvard.
CNN has stated that she is “Arguably the world’s most powerful woman.” Also, Life Magazine has named her as one of the top 100 people who have changed the world, alongside the likes of Elvis Presley.
She is believed to have given away over $400 million to educational causes, which is inspirational, indeed. She says of life, “The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.”

The founder of Spanx, an intimate apparel company, Sara Blakely was named in Time Magazine as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world. She began Spanx in 2012.
Initially turned away by every hosiery mill company she approached, Sara had to learn to compete in an industry that consisted mainly of men. She was so successful in doing this she is now said to be worth over $1 billion and Spanx is a well-known name.
4. Jessica Herrin is another of the most influential women
Jessica Herrin created the online jewelry empire called Stella and Dot. Her estimated growth rate is 200% per year, and she sells over $100m of jewelry per year. Wow!

5. Arianna Huffington
Ariana Huffington is a columnist and businesswoman. She is co-founder of the Huffington Post and has written 15 books.
She is also the founder and CEO of Thrive Global. Time magazine has listed her as one of the world’s top 100 most influential people, and she was included on the Forbes most powerful women list. She has been active in politics, running for the position of Governor of California in 2003.
