Guest posting for Robbie Cheadle’s poetry series

Robbie Cheadle poetry series

It’s not everyday that I get asked to be part of a poetry series, especially one by esteemed blogger Robbie Cheadle. So I was excited when she asked me to contribute one of my favorite poems and to talk a bit about the story behind it.

Whaaa, you didn’t know I write poetry?

Yes, I have two books, actually.

Poetry, Robbie Cheadle, and I

To be honest, I haven’t written a poem in several months. I’ve been busy reading and writing about women’s issues, as well as supporting female activists.

Oh, and I got married last month too, so I was pretty busy with planning up until then. Now it is nice to have a bit slower time to guest post and work on other projects. How wonderful of the author and blogger Robbie Cheadle to ask me to be a part of her great poetry series.

Looking ahead, I hope to get back to poetry and fiction writing in the New Year, as well as launching a new blog. I figure I’ve been freelancing and blogging full-time for 6 years so I would like to share what I’ve learned and what I continue to learn each day. I also want to get into YouTube and complete some other projects. Yes, I always have a lot on the go, it seems!

Ahem, back to Robbie Cheadle’s poetry series. I went off on a tangent there.

Please check out the series and my guest post please

I am thankful for the opportunity to be in it and want to share my guest post at Robbie Cheadle’s blog called Robbie’s Inspiration. I hope you enjoy reading poetry there, including what I recommended in the guest post. Be sure to check out the other poets in the series too!

So tell me… Do you write or read poetry?

  1. Christy, what a beautiful post showcasing your incredible emotional poetry and giving a bit of an insight into you. As I read the poem and examples given too, tears were starting. You have a beautiful way of putting words together. I see nothing but bucket loads of happiness and success in your future. LOL.

  2. Beautiful poem, CB…. and, of course, congrats on the feature.
As I am here, I am telling you that I got my Twitter account suspended… pfff. After almost 10 years. I think I might be caught among bots, probably for unfollowing too fast … this is what I can now think of… but whatever. 😣 I appealed the suspension. But I don’t know if I might get the account back.
I am sorry if this part of the comment is not related to the post, but I wanted to let you know, in case you didn’t notice it. I will keep on checking out your blog… hugs 🤗 ♥️

    1. Ps. Keep your account safe on Twitter as it is valuable …. make sure to look at the policies in detail… (oh, and I wasn’t using any app to unfollow or anything either)

    2. Oh nooooo Aqui, I’m sorry to hear about Twitter, no I hadn’t been on there to see it :( That’s awful, I hope you get the account back, sounds like it might have gotten hacked? You email or see me here or any other place you find me okay. Thinking of you and BIG hugs, B1 to B2 and B2 to B1 xo

    3. Hi Chris, I got it back…. I will be extra cautious from now on. It is scary when something like this happens. Thank you for the good vibes and support. I am sure those vibes even worked retrospectively!. And yes, I was planning to find you elsewhere 😘🙌 . Bananas in pajamas hugs 🍌🤗 😉 much love.

  3. Omg, huge congrats. I didn’t know you got married! Loooking forward to that promised post – and more about the poems too. Yes, I read poems, and sometimes I try my hands on it too.

  4. Lovely to host you with such a lovely poem, Christy. Your writing is extraordinarily emotional and I am delighted to know you will have a new blog next year dedicated to writing. I look forward to that.
