This is definitely one of the greatest challenges every mother has to deal with in order to succeed. Juggling between her family and work is undoubtedly one of the toughest things to accomplish, which is why a large number of moms forget to embrace a healthy lifestyle and dedicate some time just to themselves. Roller skating is at the first place on our list for a good reason – it’s fun, it burns calories, elevates your mood, and your whole family can take part in it! Even though a lot of people think that roller skates are meant for kids only, the truth is that more and more adults these days enjoy cruising the town on these, too. Apart from being extremely fun, roller skating is highly beneficial on numerous levels for the whole family as well. First of all, it’s easy on the joints, and some experts even claim that it has the same benefits as jogging, but without the joint damage. On the other hand, if you’ve always been a dancing queen who loved to leave her heart on the dancefloor, we reckon that you’ll love to sign up for dance classes. First of all, it’s a fantastic way of working out without having a feeling that you actually work out, which is more than perfect for working moms who can’t squeeze in a gym session into their busy schedules. The combination of body exercises and a soothing sound of music is often said to be quite therapeutic, which makes dancing an amazing stress-relieving activity. Make sure to opt for it if you need an emotional outlet from your everyday tasks and responsibilities. Your kids might like going into their own dance class too; it might be something for the whole family.

Cycling found its place on this list simply because it has a wide range of fabulous benefits – both physical and mental. First of all, cycling builds full-body strength simply because every single part of your body is involved in it. Besides that, it’s good for the heart and easy on the joints, too. Cycling is also a perfect activity for the whole family as well, since everyone can hop on their bike and go for the ultimate outdoor adventure.

Of course, you’ll have to bring healthy snacks and bottles of water for the whole family, so make sure to have either a basket or a pannier attached to your bike. You should know that pannier bags are often added to the rear rack, so that moms can carry everything their family may potentially need. These are an absolute must for a lot of families. So be sure to get them and you’ll see an instant improvement!

As you may already know, millions of ladies across the globe have already embraced the art of yoga. It’s ancient Hindu practice that elevates the spirit that contributes to overall well-being, both physical and mental. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yoga practitioner, you enjoy its indisputable benefits.

Yoga can improve your heart health, build muscle strength, and perfect your posture – which is particularly important for working moms who sit a lot in the office. There’s also a wide range of emotional benefits. Yoga is said to relieve stress and anxiety associated with busy moms’ hectic lifestyle. So don’t be afraid to give it a try and you’ll experience its amazing benefits first-hand!

Last but not least, hiking is a quite simple, non-demanding activity that provides a lot of fun and moments to remember. Similarly to many activities listed above, you can do it either alone or with your family, depending on the amount of free time you have. Just one hour of hiking can burn about 500 calories, which is more than fantastic – especially for a low-intensity activity like this one. Besides that, hiking trails are usually much softer on the joints than concrete or asphalt, which is why they’re easier on your knees and ankles. Hiking with your kids can also be extremely beneficial as they’ll get a chance to get to know their environment and learn something more about its flora and fauna. Does it get better than that? We don’t think so!

Each of these five fitness activities is absolutely amazing for a lot of reasons. Mainly because the exercises enable you to spend some quality time, either alone or with your whole family, while getting fit and improving your health too. You won’t make a mistake whichever one you as a busy working mom choose. So pick one that appeals to you and give it a shot this weekend. You won’t regret it!

    We love hiking and biking as a family, just being outside is refreshing and relaxing for the whole family! I would love to get into yoga, but maybe this would be something I’d do alone 😉

    I love these ideas! My husband and I always talk about rolling blading but haven’t done it yet. They were on our wedding registry but no one bought them for some reason 😂 I’d love to do it with my daughter when she gets a little older though.
