Merry Christmas to you, you, and you! Happy New Year too

Merry Christmas spelled out in tiles on pink background.

This has been a year of ups and downs for so many of us. Political tension, danger, and shocking headlines have been all too frequent.

I don’t know about you but I haven’t always been up for looking at the news and actively avoid it many days, especially right now as it is the holiday season and I don’t want to bring down the vibe. I’ve only just started to get into the Xmas spirit, as we had a house party recently and it was a lot of fun! Yes, we had Christmas tunes on in the background.

As we near the year’s end, I am reminded of what is important. Those we love the most. That is, the family and friends who make our days brighter throughout the year by simply being in our lives. It’s not about what they do for us but instead what they do WITH us. It’s the time together that I cherish so much.

Thank you to my husband and three cats for making my days so bright when work has been long hours and headaches. Thank you to my parents for offering help and unconditional love. Thank you to the other special people who make me smile and laugh.

And thank YOU for continuing to support When Women Inspire. Ten years ago I began this blog and your support has kept it going and encouraged me to continue writing here. Cheers to women, inspiration, and you!

Wishing a Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. I’m sending a big ol’ happy holidays and Happy New Year from our family to yours!

~ All the best for 2025 ~

Sincerely, Christy

  2. Oh, how lovely, dear Christy! It’s a blessing to have such cherished people nearby, especially now, and to savour a warm atmosphere. I must catch up on the news, as I’m concerned about my hometown and the young people fighting for their freedom there. Thank you, dear friend, and I wish you and your loved ones a joyful season. πŸ€—πŸŒ²πŸŒΉ
