Vineeta on the Importance of Diversity in STEM
Vineeta Puranik emphasized the importance of diversity in STEM, stating, “Increasing diversity in STEM is crucial to foster innovation, enhance problem-solving skills, and ensure equitable access to opportunities for all.”
“From an early age, I was always encouraged to study math and science by parents who were excellent role models, and post-graduate, I was fortunate to have exceptional mentors who opened opportunities for me.
I have always prioritized offering encouragement and support for women to help build important collaborative and supportive networks. Closing the gender gap in STEM is a multifaceted challenge that requires concerted effort and support from various stakeholders.”
