6 Bathroom Accessories for Her

Woman in bathroom: accessories and more

Having the right accessories can improve the functionality and appearance of your bathroom. It also enables you to finally have a beauty and hygiene routine you look forward too, which boosts confidence in your skin. While your preferences will be different than anyone else, these bathroom accessories are ones that many woman will likely benefit from, so I put together this list! Look through it and see what works for you for optimal comfort, hygiene, and aesthetics.

Delicious Smelling Soap

Do you ever pick up a soap and think it smells almost good enough to eat? Am I the only one?

Soap is a must-have for enjoyable baths and showers that leave you feeling fresh and clean. Not only does it help to remove excess dirt and oils from your skin but it also keeps you smelling great for hours after you’ve toweled off.

There are so many different scents available, and you probably have your favorites already, whether it’s traditional vanilla or unique frankincense and myrrh soap. Keep your soap on the side of the bath or on a holder inside your shower cubicle, ready to use when you want to get clean.

If you like liquid soaps instead of bars by the sink, get yourself a fancy soap dispenser with a matching dispenser to fill with hand lotion. Refillable soap dispensers are cheaper and more environmentally friendly than single-use soaps, and you can find a decorative one that enhances the look of your online or at local shops.

Essential Oil Diffuser and Bath Salts

Essential oils and bath salts are known to promote relaxation, which is exactly why they’re a must for your next bath or shower. They enable you to create a calming atmosphere that melts your worries away.

Get yourself an essential oil diffuser in whatever scent you love. Consider the benefits of different types of essential oils so you can find the best ones for your preferences. For example, lavender and chamomile are great options when you’re trying to feel as relaxed as possible, while citrus can be uplifting.

Bath salts are known to reduce stress, improve skin health, reduce inflammation, and promote muscle relaxation. They are bathroom essentials for women, in my opinion, as we give our all throughout the day and really deserve soemthing to help us unwind and get calm.

Organizers and Storage Boxes

You’ll need somewhere to store your beauty accessories and hygiene products, at least if you want to keep your bathroom clean and organized. Clutter makes me stressed, so I try to avoid it by adding organizers to our bathroom. You could also use storage boxes that match the interior design of your bathroom, whether they’re made out of wicker, plastic, or fabric.

Ensure your chosen organizers are big enough to fit all of your bathroom and beauty accessories neatly inside. Consider getting separate organizers for your hygiene, beauty, and skincare products, so you know where everything is when you need it.

Get yourself a shower caddy too if you find the shower and bath ledges aren’t working for you. That’s where you can store your shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, making them easy to access when washing yourself. Install a bath towel holder or hook outside the shower or next to the bath so you can grab the towel quickly when you get out.

Mini Fridge for Skincare Essentials

Some skincare items are best stored at cooler temperatures. To elevate your bathroom to a whole new level, get yourself a mini skincare fridge to store your essential items, such as serums, moisturizers, face masks, and more for your skincare needs throughout the year. Doing so ensures they stay in good condition and perform optimally on your skin. It’s easier than remembering to go into the fridge in your kitchen too each time you want one of the products!

Smart Technologies

Smart technology can make your bathroom experience much more enjoyable. Install a waterproof Bluetooth speaker in your bathroom so you can play music when you’re having some ‘me’ time. Install a smart thermometer to monitor the temperature of your bath or shower water supply and adjust it accordingly to maintain a comfortable temperature.

You can also get portable smart technologies to use in the bathroom, such as digital scales that measure your weight, body fat, and hydration status. Just don’t be tempted to weigh yourself daily, as that can quickly become an unhealthy habit that has you paying too much attention to your weight (it’s being overall healthy that counts most, not the number on the scale).

There are even LED smart mirrors you can get that have built-in internet connection and enables you to get news, weather, and appointment updates. All so you can fully prepare yourself for the day ahead.

Smart Toilet

Although a smart toilet can be a significant investment, costing up to $10,000, it’s a great option when you’re renovating your bathroom and making it as functional as possible, if you have the funds. Smart toilets are popular in Japan but are becoming more widely used in the Western world.

A smart toilet can have built-in heated seats, washing capabilities, and automatic lids that open and close when they sense you nearby. They may even play music while you’re doing your business, enabling you to feel relaxed and relieved. Can you imagine?!
