1. Be yourself

No one should ever feel they have to change, and if the people you associate with don’t like you for who you are, then they are not worthy of your time. Only by being true to your essential self can you feel good about who you are.

By hiding aspects of your personality, you are preventing the world from seeing all sides of you. Everyone has great qualities; let the world see yours.

2. Learn to love your body

Everyone has parts of their body they don’t like, even the A-list celebrities. We all have our own imperfections and flaws, and most people wish they could change something about themselves.

But an essential step to feeling good about yourself is to accept these parts of you and to teach yourself to love them without feeling the urge to change them. Those supposed “flaws” are what is unique about you, which makes them beautiful.

3. Want to feel good about yourself? Stop the negative self-talk

People can be too hard on themselves. If someone else told you you looked unattractive or weren’t good at anything, you wouldn’t hesitate to cast them out of your life. So, why should you accept this negativity from yourself?

5. Dress to impress

A surefire way to boost your confidence is to wear clothes that you feel great in. Making an effort to look your best will make you feel good about yourself.

  1. Exactly right Christy! There is so much pressure on us from social media, family, friends, and our own selves, that we need occasional reminders that it’s okay to focus on body positivity. We only need to strive for our personal best.
