How to balance your hormones naturally

Balance hormones naturally with oils

Many women experience hormonal changes at different stages of their lives. Sometimes, your hormone levels may fluctuate so much that they start to negatively affect your life. Some of the symptoms of hormonal imbalance include fatigue, mood swings, irregular periods, acne, and weight loss. Thankfully, there are several ways to balance your hormones naturally. Here is a list of six of them.

Consider taking supplements

Taking hormone balance supplements can do wonders for re-balancing your hormone levels. Several natural supplements exist to target your endocrine system using special blends of herbs. Treating a hormonal imbalance may sound like a serious process, but the good thing about natural supplements is that they rarely have any negative side effects.

Balance hormones with natural herbal remedies

Brewing herbal teas to remedy different health problems is a trick as old as time. Drinking herbal teas to level out your hormones can be helpful at all stages of your body’s natural cycle.

The science behind it is that plants contain bioidentical hormones that can benefit the female body. Think about replacing coffee with tea as a healthier and more relaxing alternative. Winding down and reducing stress are also essential in leading a healthy lifestyle.

Apply essential oils

One fact that many women may not be aware of is that essential oils can also help balance out hormones. Aromatherapy is an effective and enjoyable way of addressing the hormonal issues in your body.

Nature has an amazing array of effective herb essences to offer – for example, lavender and tea tree essential oils have been found to have effects similar to estrogen. Also, ylang-ylang can be useful for increasing libido in menopausal women, and thyme can level out progesterone levels.

Exercise regularly to balance hormones naturally

Physical activity is another way of achieving balance. Regular exercise affects insulin levels in the body, which directly links to your overall health.

Even a simple walk can go a long way in significantly improving your body’s hormonal balance. Exercising also promotes the release of endorphins in the body, also known as happiness hormones.

Make changes food-wise

What you eat can affect your hormone levels more than you realize. Incorporating certain products into your daily intake and limiting certain food groups can do wonders for balancing hormone levels.

Protein, healthy fats, and fiber directly affect the body’s hormone release mechanism. Maintaining a balanced diet and limiting refined carbs and sugary beverages is beneficial for your hormones, as well as overall health.

Maintain a sleep schedule

No matter how well you eat, how much you exercise, or what supplements you take, your body cannot be in harmony unless you get enough sleep. Resisting your body’s natural circadian rhythm can lead to several hormone imbalances, including insulin, cortisol, and leptin.

Keep in mind that it’s not just the quantity, but also the quality of sleep that matters too. Your brain requires uninterrupted rest so that the body can function as it is supposed to. There are several hormones that release only when you sleep, making a good night’s sleep extremely important.

Concluding words on balancing hormones naturally

Hormones affect all areas of life and directly link with how you feel, in menopause and during the other stages of life. Therefore, it is extremely important to keep your hormones at an optimal level.

Even though women’s hormone levels naturally change with age, there are still several natural steps you can take to improve your hormonal balance. These easy and all-natural tips can work miracles in taking care of hormonal health.

  1. This is an important subject for me. I went through early natural menopause in my mid 30’s.
Hormone therapy has been a blessing. It’s not for everyone, but it was the right choice for me.
Had I not been on this therapy, my bones would probably be dust by now, and I would not be here.
Now I am older, and have been reducing the dosage for years. I am looking for natural supplements as I phase out the medical industry’s solution.
