If you believe that you have achieved a high level of success in the world, then perhaps it’s time to start giving back to both your close friends and the wider community. Nonetheless, perhaps you are not sure where to start when it comes to sharing both your wealth and skills. To help you start brainstorming, here are four different ways to give back to the world.
Donate to charity
One of the easiest ways to give back is to donate money or time to charity. There are a variety of amazing institutions out there, spanning from local groups to the Red Cross, that you can connect with and donate to in the form of monetary contributions.
This is an especially good option if you find yourself too busy to help in a physical way. All you have to do is simply set up a monthly payment system. It allows you to contribute automatically without having to remember to do so.
Give back to the world by mentoring others
As a successful career woman, why not use your life experiences to mentor others who are looking to break into your field? There are a variety of ways to be a mentor.
For example, if you are the owner of a company, consider offering internshipss to people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Or, offer to personally mentor people one-on-one to help them succeed.
Not only will providing these mentorships make you feel better about yourself in the long run, but you may be helping the next big career woman break into your business.
Volunteer in the community
Volunteering is a great idea if you want to contribute to your local community and boost your mental health in the process. There are numerous ways to get involved to give back to the world as a volunteer.
One way is to read community social media boards to see where people need help. Then, get involved!
Another idea is to volunteer your time and effort to food banks or soup kitchens. There are also homeless shelters and women’s shelters that could benefit from your time.
If you don’t have the time to physically contribute, then why don’t you simply call them to ask other ways to be of service there? If you own a business, also look at ways you can nurture a philanthropic culture.
Share knowledge online to give back to the world
If you have a lot of skills to share, then use the internet to have an amazing effect. You can create a website that shares the different types of skills that you have for free, for example.
This method is especially useful considering that a lot of people are charging high prices for this type of content. Not everyone can afford fees to learn certain business practices to advance their careers.
By providing knowledge for free, you will show the world how much you care and also make a real difference. Use a mixture of blogs, videos, and podcasts to offer learning possibilities in different ways to appeal to a wider audience.
What are some other ways to give back to the world?
I have mentored a few people. I think that is important.
I also think we can give back to the world by not polluting it so much.
Perhaps we could ask ourselves: Do I really need this new digital toy/outfit/car/etc., instead of chanting Oh.. I really want this, I want this.
The rich get richer, while we pollute. Thereby, we get poorer.
Yes, treating the Earth well needs to be a priority!
As a long–time volunteer for several organizations, I can say that it is so rewarding for the person volunteering. Most good causes could not exist if it was not for the work of volunteers.

I think giving something to the world starts by changing ourselves. I always prefer to reduce food wastage, help people around you, planting trees are some of the things which I can think to give back to the world.
