Are you struggling to feel fantastic every single day? There can be a few reasons for this. You don’t just have to accept it as your reality. Usually, a reason people feel low is down to their health and how they are treating their bodies. If you begin treating your body better, you should find that you feel incredible every day.
Wish you could feel fantastic most of the time? Read on to find out how.
Prioritize sleep
Take a look at your sleep schedule right now and figure out what you can do to make it better. Prioritize your sleep and you’ll feel so much better when you wake up in the morning. The key is to go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, even on weekends. This might be difficult at first, but once you’re in the habit of it, you will have synced your circadian rhythm enough for it to become natural. You will get tired at the same time each night and should want to get up at the same time each morning.
Flip your negative thoughts
Negative thoughts are a huge cause of stress. They can affect our confidence levels, stop us doing from what we really want to do, and present a whole host of other disadvantages. Instead of letting your negative thoughts take over, flip them. Try to find the good in every situation that you would have previously found the ‘bad’ in. If you notice a negative thought creep in, stop it in its tracks and tell yourself something good.
Put up notes around your house and on your mirrors telling yourself how amazing and beautiful you are. It might sound strange, but this will help you to change your mindset and keep those negative thoughts away for good.
Pay closer attention to what you put into your body
What you put in your body is going to have a huge effect on how you feel each day. If you’re eating junk fast food, you’re going to feel like junk too.
Eating colorful foods full of nutrients with things like turmeric and other herbs and spices will help you to nourish your body and you’ll start to feel amazing.
Spend more time outside
Spending more time outside is key to feeling happy. Studies show that when we spend more time closer to nature we feel happier in general, so make sure we make an effort to go outside more. Take more walks and you’ll have the added benefit of getting more steps in too. Try spending time gardening, as you’ll end up with a fabulous garden and feel great because of all of the time you’re spending in the sunshine.
If the sun isn’t shining then consider getting a SAD lamp and using it each morning. These lamps are designed to help us get the recommended amount of sunlight each day so we feel happier, and they really can make a difference.
Great mind-body tips! I have a hard time in winter, and as soon as the days are longer and the sun is out, I start feeling much better… being out in the sunshine and fresh air is crucial, at least for me!!
Reblogged at Turning the Page… thanks!
I agree about the fresh air! Thank you for the reblog :)
So true!!
I suppose we all know this, Christy. It is the implementation we often fail with.
Such simple steps :) Just sometime back my MIL and I were discussing how small steps go a long way in taking care of our health and well-being.
It’s amazing how much health can be affected from the psychological point of view!
Yes, the mind and body have intricate connections!
All vital to our well being. Great tips, Christy!
I love all the items in your list! Thank you! <3
All points ‘thumbs up,’ Christy!
All good advice, Christy! 💗💗💗
I love these tips, but I have lupus and need to stay out of the sun. So I try to walk outside in the early evening, with a big, bright pink, floppy hat.
All these tips certainly help. I do them all, but my food one has been slipping the last month or two, so I need to get back to that one.
Excellent advice, Christy!
Great advise. I feel so tired now may be I should go out side
Great advice Christy. and I can recommend spending more time outdoors to make happy smiles.. :-)
