When I opened up my messages today and saw one from my online friend Abid A. Sayyed saying that he had created a video for my second poetry book Versions of the Self, I was overjoyed. I immediately clicked on it and let’s just say it’s been a reason to smile again and again! Thank you again, Abid, for this generous gift.
Yes, I’m working on a third book, which will be short stories. No date set for this one as it’s a slow but steady race to the finish line.
With Hurricane Harvey, B.C. wildfire evacuations, and other stories all over the news, it’s refreshing to open up a message that is so kind from a friend.

Beautiful trailer, Christy! I’m still reading the book, by the way. I tend to read one poem once in a while, so it’s taking kind of a long time, but I like to think about each poem and not let them all be jumbled together in my mind.
