7 positive affirmations for life

Sometimes you just have to read something positive to feel a lot better about the world and your place in it. The reality is that life has a whole lot of ups and downs, with some dips being deeper than others. So, buckle up because I want you to have one heck of a long life! It’s easier getting through the days when you start it with positive affirmations for life like these ones. Or, turn to these words when you feel lost or in a bit of a funk.

I am more than my negative thoughts and emotions

Absolutely! You are a wonderful combination of happy, sad, driven, enthusiastic, and much more. While you have every right to feel the way you do in a certain moment, you can bounce back from the negativity and see brighter moments when you reset the mindset. It’s all about managing emotions in a healthy way.

My old habits are ones that I leave behind me

Bad habits. Everyone has to deal with ridding themselves of at least one. Rather than pretending you don’t have any, own up to them and finally say that you are going to leave them behind. It’s a process to rid yourself of them and it’s easier with this guide to transforming bad habits.

More positive affirmations for life: You’re feeling exactly how you’re meant to feel

Rather than putting on a mask of happiness and positivity all the time, recognize there will be moments when you’re a little down or upset. It happens. While you may feel the pressure to be positive every day, it’s not natural to always be perky. Here’s my take on it:

I have so much more life to live

Yes! This is one of my faves when it comes to positive affirmations about life. You have a lot more moments to breathe in fresh air and exhale another take at things. If feeling beaten down, know that tomorrow can bring something new and special for you. There are more moments to exercise, be with friends, eat delicous foods, and savor this time on the planet.

Positive affirmations for life include: I see my future clearly

If you cannot see the future then how do you know what to work towards? Only once you can see ahead will you be able to create a path to your destination. See the future clear and bright, so that you can get there, step by step.

I have an unlimited ability to conquer challenges

You can overcome challenge after challenge after… YES. Each time you are pulled down, get back up. It won’t be the easiest thing to get up on your feet when it’s a big career hit or a family member who hurt you, but you must do it. Then stand tall in your ability to face another day and any other challenges that come your way. In this way, challenges can be positive things.

Final one on the positive affirmations for life: I am reaching my true self

Every day, you become closer to being your true self. That is, understanding your life purpose and having an authentic way of being. Each day that passes is another chance for you to embark on self-discovery.

These words will always be here for you to come back to when you need them. Read the positive affirmations for life as often as you need for hope, inspiration, and gratitude.

  1. I believe in positive thinking but we have to acknowledge those negative thoughts whether they are from internal or external sources. We need to tape over those negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones. :)

    1. Hi Susan,
That’s an excellent response. That wording of ‘tape over’ is so true. Thank you :)

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this. I started using daily positive affirmations a year ago, and it helped lift me out of a crippling depression. I’m definitely not discouraging people from seeking professional help when they’re severely depressed (indeed, I should have done so), but positive affirmations can really make a difference in your life. They can change your attitude, and your change in attitude can change circumstance.

    1. Hi Tricia, Always nice to hear from you. Yes, therapy helped me when I was severely depressed. I think as you say those words can truly start to make a difference and with the external supports such as therapy we can start to see more light than dark in life… HUGS!
