How UChic Can Help Young Women in School

UChic helps young women in school

UChic is an inspiring startup for women, deserving of the spotlight for the work it is doing. Its focus is to help young women in school to succeed, whether it be high school, college, or both. While many businesses focus on women after graduation, UChic recognizes that assisting women in achieving their educational and career dreams can start right now while they’re still in school. And so, that’s exactly the work that the business is doing! They’ve even now launched the 1000 Dreams Fund.

UChic Resources to help Young Women

Based in Kansas City, MO, UChic was founded by entrepreneur Christie Garton. UChic reaches out to help young ladies ages 15-22, in several ways. Firstly, there’s its website, which offers a quality resource area full of blog posts and tips for young women. The posts focus on helping females navigate through the high-stress years of growth. Blog topics range from health and money to dating.

Other reading resources available from UChic include several books. One title that caught my eye in the book series is U Chic’s Getting a Grip on Your Freshman Year: The College Girl’s First Year Action Plan. By the way, am I the only one who wished I had that when I was in college? It would have been nice to have a resource as a roadmap for what to expect that year and how best to prepare for future school years, as well as the job world ahead.

Update on UChic’s Mission for High School and College Females

The above text was written in 2014 and now it is 2018. Wow, time flies! Within this time, UChic has broadened its mission by launching the 1000 Dreams Fund. The goal of the non-profit organization is to provide 1000 one-time educational grants to help young women in the United States. Yes, that’s quite the ambitious mission – and we hope they meet it! The lives of 1000 females can change for the better.

The prerequisite for funding is that the girl must be currently enrolled in high school or be a college-aged female in the U.S. Financial assistance can go to any of these 4 areas:

  • Conferences or training
  • Exam fees in college or grad school
  • Tutoring services
  • Books or technological devices

By providing financial help, the 1000 Dreams Fund, which began as the startup UChic, can empower young women and help their educational dreams come true. Furthermore, when they feel confident in their abilities, there’s no stopping these females! Money issues won’t be a problem any longer for those young women who receive the funding.

Inspiration Abounds

The 1000 Dreams Fund from UChic has an inspiring mission to help young women. Be sure to check out the links above to find out more and you can even donate to them to help other ladies. Here is a great way to help young women succeed, starting today. Also, after receiving the one-time financial assistance toward their education, these females can move onto amazing careers, all without a lack of money holding them back.
